Biography
My full name is Jennifer Lynn Atkins, and I am a Junior at Fountainview Academy. I was born in North Carolina and lived there for one and a half years, then moved to Washington and lived there ever since. I was homeschooled up until 9th grade when I went to Tamarack Springs Academy. I went there for two years, and then came to Fountainview Academy.
My interests are: being with friends, music, horseback riding, camping, biking, traveling, and a lot of other things. I also enjoy spending time alone to think or daydream.
To explain a little family background, my dad is a Mechanical Engineer and works at Freightliner designing battery boxes. My mom works at a private home taking care of a 103 year old lady. I have one older sister, and one older brother. My sister is married and my brother is going to Walla Walla University taking Mechanical
Engineering.
One of the things I like most about Fountainview Academy is the way people treat each other. The staff and students are so supportive. I also like the longer classes, because at the school I used to go to, I had fifteen minute classes. With the longer classes, I not only learn more, but the teachers let you start on your homework in class so they can help you.
Something I don’t like as much about FVA is the amount of time we have for study hall. I find it hard to get my homework done in one hour.
People know me well for either being really shy or laughing A LOT; even when something isn’t funny.
I play mostly violin and piano, but I also play a little harmonica and accordion.
My goal is to be a 4th grade school teacher. I want to help kids that struggle in school, because I’ve struggled in school my whole life and would be able to put myself in their place.
jenny, i think that your little essay about your self is well written and im gald that you did come to fva, and i hope you always enjoy it here.
Hey Jenny,
Yep, the days of 15 minute classes are over, but that’s nice. That’s really cool that you want to help other kids in school. I was really surprised to see you at FVA, but I’m sooo glad you’re here!!
I really like your essay, you did a great job!
thats cool your bro is going to WWU. I live about an hour from there and I know a bunch of people that go there. Oh and your right about the laughing thing=). ttyl!
